蜜桃影像 (鈥淐ollege鈥) and its Board of Trustees (鈥淏oard鈥) recognize that our students, faculty, and staff shoulder many responsibilities in their lives, including, for some, the responsibility of caring for children. The College is a child-friendly institution that provides in-person and virtual classes and services for maximum flexibility. In addition, the College welcomes children to our many family-friendly events throughout the year. In the case of an event that is not child-appropriate, attendance is at the parent鈥檚 discretion.
The purpose of this policy is to meet the needs of parents and/or guardians who may need to bring children to campus due to an extenuating circumstance, while ensuring the safety of children and considering the nature of classroom and workplace activities.
This policy applies to all currently enrolled College students, current full-time and part-time faculty and staff, and visitors to the College. The term 鈥淐hild(ren)鈥, or any other variation of that term as used herein, is defined as a person under the age of eighteen (18). Children, along with their parent(s) or guardian(s), may visit college offices and facilities when their parent or guardian is conducting routine business at the College (e.g., registering for classes, etc.).
Students, faculty, and staff with unexpected childcare needs that require their child(ren) to be on campus for an extended period should refer to the Children on Campus [PROCEDURE LINK].
It is required that children are always under the supervision of their parent or guardian, and it is the sole responsibility of the parent or guardian to ensure that their child(ren) are properly supervised at all times. The College does not assume any responsibility for the caregiving or supervision of children on campus.
Students with ongoing childcare concerns are encouraged to utilize support provided by the College, including Support for Student Parents and the Hudson Helps Resource Center (HHRC). Faculty and staff with ongoing childcare concerns are encouraged to utilize HCCC鈥檚 .
The Board delegates to the President the responsibility to develop procedures and guidelines for the implementation of this policy. The Office of Human Resources, in consultation with the Office of Student Affairs and Enrollment, will ensure compliance with this policy in all student and personnel matters.
