HCCC to Host Homecoming Block Party and Open House on Saturday October 18th

HCCC鈥檚 50th Anniversary celebration continues on October 18th with the College鈥檚 first ever Homecoming Open House Block Party.
October 14, 2025, Jersey City, NJ 鈥� Each fall, colleges around the country welcome back students, alumni, and neighbors for the time-honored tradition of homecoming. This year, 蜜桃影像 (HCCC) is hosting its own edition of this fall favorite for the first time, creating a new tradition for its growing community. HCCC is proud to invite students, future students, alumni, and community members to its first ever Homecoming Block Party on Saturday, October 18, 2025, as part of the College鈥檚 50th Anniversary celebration, Fifty and Forward, which will also feature the Fall Open House.
The festivities will take place from 10 AM to 3 PM at the Culinary Conference Center and Culinary Plaza Park at HCCC鈥檚 Journal Square Campus, bringing the community together for a day filled with music, performances, art, and reflection on five decades of growth and achievement.
The celebration will kick off with music and performances from some of Hudson County鈥檚 finest local talent including the Union City High School Band and West New York Salsa Performers. They鈥檒l also meet the nominees for HCCC鈥檚 first-ever Homecoming Court and see the winners crowned. Other highlights will include a live ice sculpting by Chef Kevin O鈥橫alley and the dedication of HCCC鈥檚 50th anniversary time capsule. A special 鈥淕olden Hour Toast鈥� will close the formal program, honoring both the College鈥檚 legacy and the bright years ahead.
Music and energy will fill the air all day and keep the block party atmosphere lively and engaging. Attendees can explore campus facilities, connect with faculty and staff, learn more about HCCC鈥檚 array of academic programs and life at the College, and celebrate alongside students and alumni who make HCCC a cornerstone of the Hudson County community. There will be plenty of family-friendly fun and entertainment including henna artists, caricatures, face-painting, pumpkin carving, cotton candy, candy apples, plus a variety of games including axe throwing, basketball free throws, and more.

This Golden Anniversary event is free and open to the public. HCCC welcomes everyone to join the celebration, honor the College鈥檚 rich 50-year history, and look forward to an even more vibrant future.
