Biography
Joe holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Higher Education Administration with a
specialization in Leadership from Liberty University. He also earned a Master of Science
in Education and Reading from SUNY New Paltz. Additionally, he completed a Post-Master’s
Certificate in Higher Education Administration at Grambling State University. Joe
earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Reading and Biology through Mercy College
and Pace University. He also holds a permanent teaching license for grades K–12.
Joseph is currently the Executive Director of the North Hudson Campus, where he and
his team work together in helping all students achieve success. He believes that all students should have equitable access to education and an opportunity
to thrive. Joseph has approximately 25 years of experience in the field of education,
which includes public school experience as a teacher and administrator, as well as
approximately twelve years of experience in higher education serving as a Professor
of English and Developmental Education, as well as an administrator. Joseph has presented
at many local and national conferences. He has received the Johnston Award, The NISOD
Award, and the League of Innovations Award. Joseph personally believes that all students
deserve the opportunity to receive a college education. In addition, he believes passionately
in the transformation of education. He is honored to work with everyone at HCCC to
continue to improve relationships with the entire college community and to enhance
student persistence, success, and graduation rates.
