Professor Gallo founded and developed the College’s Liberal Arts: Theatre Arts - Associate in The Arts Option. He is a NISOD Excellence Award winner, and the recipient of the Kennedy Center Prize for Innovating Teaching in Theatre.
Professionally he is a playwright, producer, actor, filmmaker, and director. His plays include: Yuppies Invade My House at Dinnertime, The Playbill Gallery (a love story), Long Gone Daddy, My Italy Story, New York City 523, Two-Man Kidnapping Rule, Warning: Adult Content, and Staten Island.
A frequent participant at The Moth in New York City, he has toured with The Moth Mainstage Ensemble, and has been featured on both The Moth Podcast and The Moth Radio Hour.
