Biography

Diana M. Sanchez works in Career and Transfer Pathways, where she supports students through one-on-one appointments, classroom presentations, and engaging career and transfer programming. She helps organize/coordinate events in honor of National Transfer Week and Community College Awareness Month to connect students with important Career & Transfer resources and services. Diana provides guidance on major and career exploration, offers feedback on resumes, cover letters, and mock interviews, and helps students navigate job search tools like Handshake. She also orients students on how to begin building a transfer plan and explore their transfer options.

A proud HCCC alumna, Diana graduated Magna Cum Laude and was active in the Literary Club before earning her B.A. in English with a concentration in Literature from NJCU, where she graduated Cum Laude. At NJCU, she served as Opinion Editor and News Editor for The Gothic Times, where her work was featured on the front page. She earned her M.A. in Teaching from Montclair State University in 2022 with a 4.0 GPA and holds certifications in English (7-12) , Students with Disabilities (K-12), and ESL (K鈥12). While at Montclair, she was a graduate research assistant, contributed to the textbook Bilingualism and Bilingual Education: Conceptos Fundamentales, and completed her clinical experience teaching 8th grade English in Kearny. Diana also taught ESL to international students at NJCU, served as a Student International Ambassador there, and taught English and American culture in Brazil. Today, she is currently still a member of the National English Honor Society and the National Society of Leadership and Success; moreover, she is committed to counseling and educating students from all walks of life and in investing in their growth.
